Who We Are

The seat club was formed in 1973, by a few people who had a few seats.  We now have members in the United States, Canada, Ireland, England, Wales, Australia and New Zealand.

The first book on cast iron seats was written by Donald Sites of Grinnell, Kansas.  He wrote three books on cast iron seats, each one being larger than the one before, because more seats had been discovered. The newest book was written by John Friedly, Jr.. Information on ordering his book is available from this web site.

The newsletter, which is published four times per year, has many ads and interesting things to read.  The ads are free to members of the club and articles from the members are cheerfully accepted.
